Shear Serenity Salon X Shine Events

2016 was a huge milestone for Samantha Diliberto and Shear Serenity Salon. We had been in business for 10 years! 
​We decided to celebrate our anniversary with a glamorous hair showcase combined with a fundraiser. Together with Penguin Plunge we are making The Glam Up & Give Back event happen June 9th at Knights Of The Columbus
We had huge visions about this event and how we wanted to transform KOC to something completely out of the ordinary. That's when we were lucky to get in touch with Matt Toubin and Shine Events Inc.
His company's specialty is to transform rooms from the ordinary to the
extraordinary, and they are literally making our dreams come true!

​Where are you from and how did you get in to the business you are in? 
​I’m originally from East Meadow Long Island and I started as a DJ in college. I have always loved music and that led me into DJ'ing.

When did you start your company?
We started up in February of 2007, and the rest is history!

What is your biggest accomplishment so far with your company? 
Overall, I feel that we have built a great brand, a complete brand, where clients can work with our team to create an unforgettable, one of a kind event. As for a single accomplishment,  we transformed a tennis club in to an amazing “Bring the outdoors in” event.  We were on site for 24 hours and our entire team worked tirelessly to create an amazing event.

Do you have an absolute favorite part of your profession? 
 Of course!  There is no better feeling than seeing a family celebrate one of the biggest days of their lives.
Knowing that you and your team had something to do with that is an incredible feeling.

What would be typical “you” outside of work? Hobbies, activities, etc.? 
I love being a Dad and husband.  Best time I can spend is with my kids and my wife.  Soccer, fitness, music and cooking would be some of my spare time passions.
